Adding a Credential to a Personnel Record

You can add a Credential to a Personnel record from the Web Client Personnel Credentials tab.

To Add a Credential from the Personnel Credentials Tab

1. Navigate to the list of Personnel records. See Search for Personnel.
2. Click on the Personnel Record to which you want to add a Credential.
3. Select Edit from the Context menu that appears.
4. Click on the Personnel Credentials tab.
5. Click Add Card Access to add an access card. A row is added to the Credentials table for the new credential.
6. Enter data for the card number in the Card Number field, the facility code in the Facility Code field, and the issue code (if needed) in the Issue Code field.

(If the C•CURE 9000 server System Variable Auto increment card number is set to True, the Card Number of a Credential you create is assigned the next number in the auto increment sequence.)

7. The CHUID Format field defaults to Card Only if you used Add Card Access. It defaults to PIN Only if you used Add PIN Only Access.
8. You can click Change CHUID Format to select a different CHUID Format for a CardAccess credential (not for a PINOnly credential).
9. For a PIN Only Credential, you can click the Auto Generate button to generate a random PIN number, using the PIN length you have configured for your system. A PIN Confirmation dialog box opens, showing the generated PIN. Click OK to close.

NOTE

If the Personnel System Variable Use General PIN for PIN-Only Access is True, the PIN you auto generate overwrites the General tab PIN value after a warning message ("This value will overwrite PIN on General Tab") is displayed.

10. To set the Activation date for the credential, click in the Activation field. Select a date from the calendar that appears. Use the arrows on the calendar () to navigate to the month and year as needed.
11. To set the Expiration date for the credential, click in the Expiration field. Select a date from the calendar that appears. Use the arrows on the calendar () to navigate to the month and year as needed.
12. You can select one or more card status fields (Lost, Stolen, or Disabled) as needed.
13. You can enter values for Extended fields such as Agency Code and HMAC as needed. See Personnel Credentials Tab for definitions of these fields.
14. Click Save to save your changes, or Cancel to discard changes. If any fields that make up the CHUID were changed, the CHUID value changes to reflect those new values.
